The title of My Hero Academia Chapter 406 is Get a Grip On Your Quirk, and it starts with some quick updates on the battlefield.
In Central Hospital, suppression has been completed, triage for the injured is underway, and the arrestees are being transported, while everything is under control on Okuto Island.
Ground zero for the divide-and-conquer operation is clean, but the fight at the National Takoba Arena continues.
Skeptic has been apprehended and is being escorted, while the evacuation to Shiketsu through the underground system is now complete.
Jaku Hospital is now free from villains, but Kurogiri disappeared along with Eraser Head and Present Mic. We also see Lady Nagant on the roof, and she’s thinking about Izuku Midoriya.
Elsewhere, All Might is shocked to see how fast Bakugo is. Edgeshot remarks that Bakugo left Shigaraki in the dust on the brink of death, even if only for a brief moment.
He also says that Bakugo was in the process of learning something new about his quirk.
Bakugo hypes himself up, as he plans to continue attacking and overwhelming All For One.
He is getting on All For One’s nerves, but the latter says that he’ll kill him later. The same goes for Shigaraki, who says that he’ll just have to destroy Bakugo again and again.
Izuku thinks hard about his next move against Shigaraki.
He has been keeping some distance and avoiding Shigaraki’s attacks thanks to Danger Sense, but he’s still struggling against his regeneration, instant death, and enhanced body.
Izuku doesn’t know what to do, but he plans to use Gearshift once again, even though it will be a gamble. If he fails to end things with Shigaraki, the blowback from Gearshift will prevent him from ever moving again.
Izuku goes far beyond, leaving Bakugo frustrated once again. All For One doesn’t think much of Bakugo’s strength, and he believes that dealing with him is not a priority because he’s nothing but a pebble.
All the pain Bakugo felt finally made him realize new things about his quirk. When the sweat concentrated on his palms flows through his whole body, it hurts him like hell.
Even so, he thinks that finding the area where it hurts the most is the key to unleashing secondary explosions.
Bakugo closes in with All For One, who can’t believe how fast he is. He can’t stop himself, but he feels like he could even surpass Izuku in his current state.
Meanwhile, Bakugo’s parents are worried about him fighting All For One, but Mitsuki continues watching the livestream, knowing that her kid must be smiling like he always does.
All For One gets annoyed again, seeing how Bakugo looks like the second One For All user.
Before the chapter ends, Bakugo reminds All For One that he’s Kacchan of the Bakugos and not the guy named Kudo, whom All For One blames for everything.
