The title of My Hero Academia Chapter 405 is Final Boss! and it begins with All Might’s hallucination after Deku and Bakugo save him.
Sir Nighteye says that fate has been twisted and that All Might won’t die that easily, like most mentors dying and passing the torch to the younger generation.
Viewers all around the globe recognize Bakugo’s explosion quirk appearing on their screens.
All Might worries about Bakugo, but the latter argues that it is he who should worry about the former. Bakugo coughs up blood, and then Edgeshot emerges from his body like a thread, much to All Might’s surprise.
Edgeshot informs Bakugo that he used the Hakamada Style’s Secret Knotting and his own body to repair Bakugo’s broken bones and injured organs so that his insides wouldn’t collapse anymore.
However, Bakugo will feel so much pain that even lifting a finger will hurt like hell because his body is not ideal for hopping around. Bakugo understands Edgeshot, and he thanks him for letting him live.
Edgeshot argues that Bakugo got it wrong since he simply bound things together.
He kept trying to make Bakugo’s heart and lungs work, but he just wouldn’t wake up. He was at his limit for using Thousand Sheet Pierce Zenith, which eats away at his own life.
Worse, things weren’t looking good for Bakugo, but then one of those little sweat spheres Bakugo produced came through his bloodstream right before dying.
Edgeshot asserts that what brought Bakugo back was the quirk he strengthened over the years.
All Might passed his remaining gauntlet to Bakugo to serve as a splint to his arm. He even calls Bakugo the Great Explosion Murder God, Dynamight, which makes the young boy smile.
Meanwhile, All For One is under pressure after everything that happened. He can’t afford to lose any more time since he needs to get One For All, take over Tomura’s sense of self, and transfer him the copy of his quirk.
That’s when Bakugo suddenly appears, with his hand touching All For One’s face.
He claims that he is All For One’s final boss and the same guy who steps in when the nerd (Deku) can’t handle it all on his own.
