Here’s What Happened Before My Hero Academia Chapter 384
My Hero Academia Chapter 383 is titled Meek Spirits, and Mina Ashido, aka Pinky, is on the cover.
The chapter begins at the Jaku Hospital Ruins outside Gigantomachia's detention facility, shortly after the news of Shoto Todoroki taking down Dabi broke.
The villains are launching an assault against the heroes, using the raw capabilities of their quirks to float through the air, confusing the heroes.
Worse, the villains are also utilizing a high-frequency sound transmitter specifically designed to broadcast All For One's voice.
With this, All For One's words will pass through the walls of Gigantomachia's incarceration, no matter how thick they are, and Machia's Dog Quirk will pick up on the frequency.
Mt. Lady refused to let it happen, knowing full well that Giantomachia absolutely couldn’t wake up.
She tries to stop them with a gigantified wrench provided by Rule, but only after Gigantomachia breaks out of the facility and crashes into her.
Kirishima realizes that now is the ideal time for Shinso to brainwash Machia.
After all, the escort mission has been completed, and they were able to warp Shinso into the ruins without the villains noticing, and he has been hiding ever since.
However, Kirishima notices the sludge villain's leech on Shinso's body and notes that the villains have discovered their elaborate plan.
The sludge villain, it turns out, simply pretended to fight before escaping, but he discovered Shinso, who would be much simpler to control than Bakugo, whom he encountered before.
One of the Liberation Soldiers declares that the weak are doomed to suffer as they are stomped on since that is simply how the world works.
The soldier also remarks that they may discern what is right and wrong, but the whims of the powerful will always be validated.
Kirishima lunges into the sludge villain as the awoken Gigantomachia loses control while searching for his master. Mt. Lady tries to keep Machia at bay, but he is too powerful for her.
At this time, Ashido uses her quirk to launch an assault on Gigantomachia called "Maximum Output: Acidman-Alma," which is powerful enough to eat through Machia's hide.
Ashido also turned on the sludge villain, removing him from Shinso's body. To Kirishima's surprise, she transformed the Sludge Villain's quirk into a liability by mixing her acid inside of him.
As it turns out, Ashido has had enough of death and destruction, and it is only natural for her to use Bakugo and Todoroki's training methods to protect those she loves.
Ashido also shouts that she understands how things become so frightening when she's weak, and because she's weak, she needs Gigantomachia by her side, just as it was intended, not just for the heroes but also for the villains.
Nonetheless, the Liberation Soldier believes that no matter how loudly Ashido screams, her voice will never reach Machia, let alone put an end to his rampage.
Fortunately, Shinso is now free to carry out Kirishima's request. To begin, Shinso instructed the heroes to work together to swat down every villain in the air.
By using the Tartarus records and his personal chords, Shinso managed to copy All for One’s voice.
The last thing Shinso needs to do is establish a single response with Machia to completely counteract their sound transmission.
Kirishima attends to Ashido, who becomes dehydrated after using so much of her quirk. Kirishima apologizes for once again being useless, to which Ashido responds that they are now even.
Now that Machia and the other villains have been subdued, the heroes must detain them and prepare them for transportation.
But before they could act, Mt. Lady received word that All For One was regenerating and that their assistance was required to prevent him from heading to Shigaraki.
In the present, Naomasa clings to the last thread of hope and employs every trick in their arsenal on this final bet against the villains.
Before the end of My Hero Academia Chapter 383, the heroes (along with Machia) throw everything they have at All For One, while choppers approach in the distance.
