It's certainly a cool tribute to the anime that boosted the manga's popularity in a span of 12 episodes. Needless to say, fans are hoping that there will be more episodes to look forward to in the future.

My Dress-Up Darling is based on the manga The Bisque Doll That Fell In Love by Shinichi Fukuda. It follows Wakana Gojo, a high school student who secretly makes doll costumes as he dreams of becoming a hina doll craftsman. When his popular classmate Marin Kitagawa discovers his secret, she enlists him to help her fulfill her dream of being a cosplayer by creating complicated costumes for her.

Both the manga and the anime have been major successes in the past year. It has already been confirmed that the manga already has over 5.5 million copies in circulation and there is little doubt that more fans will be drawn to the story. The anime recently got a BLUE stage panel at Anime Japan 2022 which was attended by voice actors Hina Suguta, Shoya Ishige, Atsumi Tanezaki, Hina Yomiya, and Moe Iori.

For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether My Dress-Up Darling will get a second season. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
