The shonen mystery show follows William Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' future nemesis, who - alongside his brothers, Albert and Louis, is determined to change the restrictive hierarchy that rules his world - even if this means getting blood on his hands.
In Moriarty, the Patriot Season 2 Episode 2 - also known as Episode 13 if you take the entire anime as one series - we see the well-worn but successful trope of a masquerade ball setting, hosted by Albert. Adler is present, and Albert offers to spare her if she informs him about the documents in her hands.

Rather, he has deduced that Adler is going to the aforementioned Lord of Crime, and he believes the former actress can lead him to the Lord's identity. Episode 3 will likely resolve the arc, providing much-needed answers.
