Morena Baccarin recently recalled the "traumatic" experience that she had when she filmed a stunt for Deadpool 2 that did not even make the final cut.

The actress has been a major player in the Deadpool series since the first installment where she plays Wade Wilson's love interest Vanessa. She returned recently to Deadpool & Wolverine as the franchise became part of the MCU.

Vanessa notably met her demise in the earlier part of the second film. Fortunately, thanks to Cable's time-travel machine, Deadpool managed to resurrect her in the post-credits scene.

In a recent interview at Fan Expo Chicago, Baccarin opened up about an underwater stunt that she filmed for Deadpool 2.

Despite the "traumatic" experience that she had doing the sequence, it didn't make it to the final cut of the film.

"My hardest times on set haven't made it into films, which really sucks because you work really hard. For the second Deadpool, I did this whole underwater sequence that just never made it into the film, and I still have nightmares about it. It was very traumatic," the actress shared.

"They put the apartment set underwater. So I was in a room much like this, 20 feet underwater. There was a roof over my head—it felt so wrong."

While Baccarin and Ryan Reynolds powered through the filming of the scene, they suffered from "eye damage" due to the bacteria in the water.

"We performed the scene, with divers giving us oxygen, and [Ryan Reynolds] seemed so totally comfortable and totally fine, and I was freaking out the whole time," Baccarin added.

"We finally got through it, and we had eye damage from the bacteria and from particles of clothing and things that were in the water because we had to open our eyes the whole time, and it just never made it into the film."

As a result of this experience, Baccarin has sworn off doing any underwater scenes in future projects including Deadpool & Wolverine where she didn't have any stuntwork on her scenes.

Deadpool & Wolverine is showing in theaters everywhere.
