Morbius has been one of the most delayed films in recent cinema, initially set to premiere back in June 2020. However, the movie was pushed back several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Sony Pictures' own scheduling of its projects. Luckily, the film was finally released in theaters on April 1, 2022, much to the relief of fans.

Not surprisingly, the long wait may have been worth it for fans. It has been revealed that Morbius took in an awesome $17.1 million on its opening day. The film is now projected to bring in around $41.5 million on its opening weekend at the domestic box office.
