Morbius Japanese Trailer Gets Awesome Jared Leto Intro and Cool New Footage

It might still be a long wait for Morbius but we finally have a new look at the highly anticipated comic book movie. The Japanese trailer for the upcoming Sony Pictures film has just been dropped and it features an awesome introduction from Jared Leto as well as cool new footage from the movie.

The new teaser was shared by the Sony Pictures Japan YouTube account and it opens with Leto explaining a bit about his character.

"In the film, I play a new Marvel character who attempts to cure his lifelong blood disease with an experimental science," Leto says. "In the process, I turn into a living vampire. So that's a little bit about what's going on, and I think it's going to be a fun one and I can't wait for you guys to see it. It's an exciting role in an expanding universe, there's a lot for all of us to look forward to."

Not surprisingly, the footage itself confirms much of Leto's description. We see how Michael Morbius' disease affects his body but he is seemingly cured after what looks like a visit to a mysterious place. From there, Michael realizes he is changing, and with that comes the bloodlust.

Morbius was initially scheduled to premiere in July this year. However, the film has been delayed due to COVID-19. It is currently set for theatrical release on March 19, 2021.
