If you're a fan of time-slip K-Dramas, you should include Moon in the Day to your watch list. This is because the show comes with a really interesting story played out by some of the hottest stars in the industry. So who stars in Moon in the Day K-Drama?
Moon in the Day is a time-slip Kdrama based on a popular webtoon, The Moon that Rises in the Day. Because of this, you might be confused with the names of the characters in the show.
As a time-slip K-Drama, the lead actors usually play two different characters: one from the past and the other from the present. Here are the actors who are part of the show:
Kim Young-dae as Han Jun-oh/Do-ha
The main character in the show is Do-ha, a nobleman from the Silla dynasty who met an untimely death at the hands of his wife, Han Ri-ta (played by Pyo Ye-jin).
As a spirit, he awaits for Ri-ta to be reincarnated so he can get his sweet revenge on her. After all, he loved his wife dearly.
In the present, Young-dae stars as a popular Korean star, Han Jun-oh. At first glance, Jun-oh seems to be the perfect guy. The only problem is that he has an inferiority complex.
Fans of Young-dae can expect the actor to perform battle scenes in Moon in the Day. In an interview with Soompi, Young-dae said:
Young-dae has starred in other Kdramas such as Penthouse, The Forbidden Marriage, True Beauty, and Welcome to Waikiki 2.
Pyo Ye-jin as Kang Young-hwa/Han Ri-ta
In the past setting, Pyo Ye-jin plays Han Ri-ta who was the sole survivor of a noble family. She becomes Do-ha's wife, whom he loved deeply. Unfortunately, Ri-ta betrays Do-ha by killing him.
Ever since Ri-ta died, Do-ha has been waiting for his wife to be reincarnated more than 1,500 years later. In the present setting, Ye-jin stars as Kang Young-hwa, a firefighter who becomes Jun-oh's bodyguard after saving him in a car accident. She has no memory of the past.
In the same Soompi interview, Ye-jin was quoted saying:
Ye-jin has starred in several successful Kdramas like Taxi Driver, Hotel Del Luna, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, and While You Were Sleeping.
