There are no more days left before MONSTA X Minhyuk enters the military. On March 13, Minhyuk posted a handwritten letter through the group's official fan community to announce his military enlistment.
The group's vocalist is set to start his mandatory military enlistment on April 4, 2023.

Through the letter, Minhyuk expressed his feelings ahead of joining the military. He said he was excited to become stronger and carve a better version of himself while serving.

Hello, this is Minhyuk!
I feel sorry that our MONBEBE came into this post already feeling sad after seeing the words "I'm Minhyuk."
I won't be able to see everyone more often for a very short period of time as I will enter the military on April 4.
I have to use Talk Talk at the fan cafe, write posts, upload photos, let you know when I'm done working out, do Bubble live broadcasts, and do everything that MONBEBE likes. But because I won't be able to do that for a little while, it hurts my heart the most. Other than this, I will enter the military with a happy heart!
I'm excited to use this opportunity to become stronger and become a better Minhyuk and receive greater love from MONBEBE.
And I'm not going somewhere so far, so don't be too sad. I think MONBEBE will be really sad, but I hope you won't!
Thank you for always giving me so much love, who is just a regular person. I feel like I cannot repay it no matter what I do, so I'm really sorry.
During the time we cannot see each other, I will be mentally and physically healthy and return as a cool person.

MONSTA X Minhyuk sends items for auction
Earlier in March 2023, Starship Entertainment announced that there would be an exhibit and auction for Minhyuk's personal items. This includes his personalized bag, shoes, ring, jacket, paint palette, and paintings.
He also promised to give away 113 photocards with his drawing to participants of the auction.

Meanwhile, Minhyuk is the second MONSTA X member to enlist in the military, following the group's leader. Shownu is scheduled to be discharged in mid-April.
