Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is the latest installment in Legendary’s MonsterVerse. It follows two siblings as they uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Kurt Russell as Lee Shaw
Kurt Russell plays an older version of Lee Shaw, a former US Army officer who knows secrets about Monarch.
Russell is known for his roles as Drew Stephens in Silkwood, Snake Plissken in Escape from New York, Dexter Riley in The Strongest Man in the World, Elvis Presley in 1979’s Elvis, and Mr. Nobody in the Fast & Furious franchise. He also played Ego in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Wyatt Russell as Young Lee Shaw
Wyatt Russell, Kurt’s son, plays Lee Shaw in the 1950s. Russell is known for playing Corporal Lewis Ford in the horror film Overlord and John Walker in the MCU’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He also starred in the film 22 Jump Street and the series Lodge 49.
Anna Sawai as Cate Randa
Anna Sawai joins the cast of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters as Cate Randa, “a former schoolteacher and a G-Day survivor who travels to Japan to settle family affairs but instead uncovers a family secret.”
Sawai starred in the films Ninja Assassin and F9 and the series Pachinko.
Kiersey Clemons as May
Kiersey Clemons joins the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters as May, “an American ex-pat with a roguish exterior that she uses to protect herself as well as others.”
Clemons is known for her role in the comedy-drama film Dope. She also played Iris West in Zack Snyder's Justice League and The Flash.
John Goodman as Bill Randa
John Goodman reprises his role as Bill Randa from 2017’s Kong: Skull Island. Goodman starred in numerous films and series, including 10 Cloverfield Lane, Argo, Raising Arizona, Roseanne, and Alpha House.
Anders Holm as Young Bill Randa
Anders Holm plays a young Bill Randa. Holm starred in the films The Intern, How to Be Single, Game Over, Man!, and the sitcom Workaholics.
Ren Watabe as Kentaro
Ren Watabe plays Kentaro, an “intelligent, creative, and curious young man who has yet to find his own path. He will embark on a quest to learn more about his revered yet mysterious father and discover his own talents in the process.” Watabe appeared in 461 Days of Bento.
Mari Yamamoto as Keiko
Mari Yamamoto joins the cast of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters as Keiko.Yamamoto starred in Pachinko, the Netflix film Kate, and Max’s crime drama series Tokyo Vice.
Joe Tippett as Tim and Elisa Lasowski as Duvall
Joe Tippett plays Tim, an “office drone who dreams of secret agent adventure. His overconfidence gets him in trouble in the field, but he is determined not to fail his organization.” Tippett is known for playing Sam Strickland in NBC’s Rise and John Ross in HBO’s Mare of Easttown.
Elisa Lasowski plays Duvall, an “expert operative with unwavering confidence in herself and her skills. She also possesses a wry sense of humor, which she uses to guide her less field-oriented colleague.” Lasowski starred in Versailles, Somers Town, and Hyena.
