After a long wait, Miss Kobayashi and the dragons are finally back!
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Season 2, officially titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, premiered last July 7, 2021. The premiere episode definitely exceeded expectations, or perhaps it's everything we've hoped for. Nothing was lacking in this episode and it set a great tone for the things that have yet to come in this season.
The new opening theme's overall vibe simply feels nostalgic. A portion of it even reminds you of the Nichijou opening, another Kyoto Animation classic. In the first episode, we're finally reunited with Kobayashi and all our favorite dragons from Season 1—Tohru, Kanna, Lucoa, Fafnir, and Elma. Shota and Makoto have appearances as well. A new dragon, Ilulu, has already been introduced immediately. Is she going to be a friend or foe?
