With both Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin making their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the rest of the Defenders may now have a way into the franchise to reprise their roles but for Mike Colter who played Luke Cage in the Netflix series, it seems he already closed his doors for the character.

Many moons ago, Netflix had their fair share of characters from Marvel with a whole separate universe of their own but now that these characters are making their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the previous actors from the Netflix shows are being asked whether they would reprise their roles.

To start, Charlie Cox suited up once more as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and he continued the role in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law which sets him up for his own MCU series, Daredevil: The Man Without Fear and the said series will also have Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin who appeared on Hawkeye.

Rumors are already swirling around Kirsten Ritter's Jessica Jones joining the band soon enough in the MCU, but when Mike Colter was asked by ComicBook.com, it seems that the actor has his door closed for Luke Cage should he be given the chance to reprise his role.

Colter said, "I just try to stay in reasonable shape just because, but I don't think about Luke Cage opportunities. It's one of those things where it's in the rear view mirror at this point. If somehow I get a call, my dance card is kind of full. But if I get a call, something happens, great. I had a good time."

Colter added he'll be happy to see someone else suit up as Luke Cage, "I'm happy, more than happy, to let someone else take on that mantle or that role. That character's living on for a long time. Fans are going to have that character in one way, shape, or form for the rest of their lives, and I'm happy to have been a part of that for those guys."

Luke Cage, from the Marvel Comics, is known as Power Man and he has superhuman strength plus an unbreakable skin after he became a test subject of an experimental procedure. He is among the Defenders, and his partner is Iron-Fist.

One of the opportunities where Luke Cage could appear in is the upcoming Thunderbolts film where, in the comics, he became the leader of the team before being the Mayor of New York City.

With Mike Colter not returning for the role, who do you think fits best as Luke Cage?
