Michael Jackson may have been dead for 13 years, but details regarding his passing continue to emerge to this day. Just recently, there are allegations that the singer’s sister LaToya Jackson’s ex-boyfriend, Jeffre Phillips, stole some of Jackson’s personal items from his home shortly after he passed away.

Michael Jackson’s Personal Belongings Were Allegedly Stolen From His Home After His Death

According to Radar Online, a man asked Phillips to meet up with him so that they could put some of Michael Jackson’s personal belongings up for auction. Phillips said that he agreed to meet up with the man to show the items that he got from Jackson but without the intention of selling them.

However, the unnamed man showed Phillips his badge and informed him that he needed to take all the items because they had been stolen from the singer’s home. LaToya’s ex-boyfriend cried foul over what happened because he insisted that it was Jackson’s mom, Katherine Jackson, who asked him to keep some of her late son’s things.

“For several days, we stayed at the Carolwood House, during which time at least a dozen family members came and went, some of whom took items from the house,” he said.

LaToya Jackson’s Ex-Boyfriend Jeffre Phillips Claims He Took Michael Jackson’s Items After Katherine Jackson Instructed Him To

Toward the end of his stay at the Carolwood House, Katherine instructed Phillips to get whatever items he could for fear that they would just be taken away by other people once the property was locked up.

So, Phillips decided to bring home some of Jackson’s belongings like his pajamas, computers, pill bottles, business papers, and more. But he also stressed that he just kept all the items at home without any intention of ever selling them.

Jeffre Phillips Alleges He Would’ve Returned Michael Jackson’s Items If His Family Asked For Them

Phillips claimed that he was shocked because of what happened and insisted that he would’ve returned Jackson’s belongings if Katherine asked for them back. He also said the entire fiasco had caused him great mental and emotional anguish on him.

“It has affected my personal life, my business and people's trust in me. Had the Estate simply asked for the property and not resorted to the premeditated set-up and bullying tactics, I would have called LaToya to inform her that the Estate was requesting the items, and the two of us would have then called her mother. Although the property was given to me and belonged to me, I would not have refused a request for the property from the Jackson family,” he said in his statement.

However, a judge has not made a decision on the matter.
