Meghan Markle and Prince Harry kept a low profile while in the U.K. They only made two appearances in the four-day festivities of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. What the experts are looking forward to is how they will behave months after their reunion with the royal family because it will either make or break their bond with the royals.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Warned About Behavior After Platinum Jubilee

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe spoke about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Closer. According to the Prince Harry: The Inside Story author, Prince Harry and Markle's return to the U.K. "cemented themselves as royals again."

He believed that Netflix, Spotify and Penguin were interested in some juicy details during the reunion. However, he warned the couple what would be at stake if they leaked the details during their visit for the Queen's jubilee and that everything depended on them.

"But everything now depends on their behaviour moving forward. Clearly, an olive branch has been extended by the royal family here. But Harry and Meghan would ruin that if any private information about this weekend was spoken about to the press or revealed in a book," Duncan told the outlet.

"It’s last-chance saloon for them now. If anything from the weekend leaked, I imagine they will be totally cut off and that’ll be it," he added. "It’s very dangerous ground if they betray anyone now. But if they act appropriately and prove they can be trusted, it could be a huge step in the right direction and the start of a new beginning."

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry's Presence At The Jubilee Was Problematic

The Queen has a soft spot for Prince Harry. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal duties, she announced that they would remain "much loved members of the family."

Royal experts noticed an obvious divide between the Sussexes and the senior royals. Prince Harry had barely had contact with his dad, Prince Charles, whose parenting he criticized in a podcast last year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were believed to have invited the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Lilibet's first birthday. However, Prince William and Kate Middleton rejected the offer because they were set to visit Wales on the same day as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration.

The family members attended the National Service of Thanksgiving in honor of the Queen. However, there was not much interaction, and Larcombe believed it was because the royals were anxious that whatever they would share might end up in Prince Harry's memoir or in the couple's future podcast.

"While the royals may have put on a united front, there will, without a doubt, have been a lot of tension, awkwardness and wariness behind-the-scenes. Ultimately, Harry and Meghan’s presence will have been problematic, because of the fact that there has been a huge amount of trust broken," the royal biographer added. "I can’t imagine there would have been a great deal of interaction, or any heart-to-hearts, as the royals will wonder if anything they say may end up as a chapter in Harry’s memoir, or on a future podcast."

Larcombe added that Prince Harry and Markle's business deals with Spotify, Netflix and Penguin, for Prince Harry's memoir, is an "unchartered territory for the royals."
