The cutbacks at Netflix amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have touched Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s animated series titled Pearl was scrapped, making it the third animated children’s project to be axed before its debut at the American streaming giant.

Previous reports suggested that Netflix made a $140 million deal with Meghan Markle, who came on as an executive producer alongside Elton John’s husband, David Furnish. Despite the cancelation of the said animated series, the streaming company would still continue to work on other projects with Archewell Productions, which include Prince Harry’s docuseries called Heart of Invictus.

National Enquirer, in its upcoming July 11, 2022 issue, reported that Michelle Obama and Barack Obama have leg up on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after inking a deal with Amazon’s Audible recently.

An unnamed source told the entertainment news outlet:

“The Obamas are really ramping up their efforts to be king and queen of Hollywood, and it’s got to be tweaking the noses of these renegade royals who clearly moved to California to do the same.”

The source added:

“In the past few months, though, the Obamas have really outshined the Sussexes in the audio game!”

“When their deal with Spotify lapsed, they jumped ship for Audible in an even better deal. Barack and Michelle are friendly with Meghan and Harry, but this move is a sign Barack wants to show Harry who the REAL first family of America is!”

Meanwhile, Express UK reported that Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Archie were sighted out on the Fourth of July far from their multimillion-dollar mansion in Montecito, California. Photos shared online suggested that the trio was out in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and took in the town’s parade for the holiday.

Unluckily, neither Meghan Markle nor Prince Harry’s faces were visible in the photos. A witness shared his experience seeing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex while taking in the parade.

The eyewitness penned:

“This big tough guy told us twice, that he was saving seats for a family. I’m [like] okay already, do you want us to move? (Which of course we wouldn’t do). He said, ‘oh no, I just want you to know.’ I thought, well, it must be the royal family (very sarcastic thinking)! A minute late[r], Meg[h]an Markle and Prince Harry walk up with Little Archie! I thought well dang, it is the royal family. The big guy was the bodyguard. Meg[h]an is gorgeous, and Harry and Archie are so cute.”

The Facebook user added he did not bother Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Archie, who were with friends at the time of the sighting.
