Despite a recent report that Marvel Studios will be holding all major announcements for D23, fans are keeping their hopes up that the studio would still reveal major surprises from several upcoming films for San Diego Comic-Con, including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — set to be the franchise’s final film. Now, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s newcomer recently shared that the threequel already wrapped up filming, and surprisingly confirmed attendance at SDCC.
During an interview with The Morning, MCU newcomer Will Poulter discussed his upcoming role as MCU's Adam Warlock ahead of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and confirmed attendance at Marvel Studios' San Diego Comic-Con panel.
"We finished filming a couple of months ago, and then I'm heading out to Comic-Con pretty soon," he said.
This revelation from Poulter serves as a guarantee that Marvel Studios prepared something exhilarating for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for SDCC. Luckily, those fans who would attend Marvel Studios' panel might get the first glimpse at Poulter's Adam Warlock, or maybe see the first teaser of the film.
After being teased in a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's post-credits scene, the hype for Adam Warlock massively grew considering the character's relevance in Marvel Comics. In the source material, Adam Warlock was labeled as one of the strongest characters and even wielded the Infinity Stones on several occasions. Of course, fans are curious about what MCU Adam Warlock would look like in live-action, especially after the role landed with Will Poulter.
Nonetheless, Marvel Studios’ "Mega-Panel" will commence on Saturday, July 23, and fans will certainly be delighted with several surprises from the studios which may include announcements regarding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, set to premiere this December.
Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 will premiere in theaters on May 5, 2023.
