Comic book film fans have gone into a massive frenzy this week after rumors started circulating online that Margot Robbie is being eyed by Marvel Studios to play Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman in the anticipated Fantastic Four reboot.

The Australian A-lister isn't the first actress to get caught in the rumor mill. Over the last couple of months, a who's who of Hollywood stars, including Jodie Comer, Vanessa Kirby, and even Mila Kunis have all been reported to be in talks with the studio to play the coveted role.

Of course, Margot is no stranger to the world of superheroes as she's been associated with the Harley Quinn character for nearly a decade. Her experience in the genre alone gives her quite the advantage but it turns out, she's not a favorite amongst fans to breathe new life into live-action Sue.

On Twitter, a lot of fans have been asking the Barbie star to turn down Marvel Studios' rumored offer. Many argue that there are a lot of stars in Tinseltown Kevin Feige and his team could choose from and an actor like Robbie doesn't exactly need the part. Check out some of the tweets below:

While I completely understand the collective sentiment of the fandom and how it's undoubtedly valid, Margot's potential offer from Marvel Studios might be too lucrative for her to just let slip away.

Robbie is in the run of her career and could you imagine if she ends up in three high-profile franchises playing characters that have reached icon status? If I were James Gunn though, I'd do everything in my power to secure her in the DC Universe because if she does accept the Sue Storm role, it could end up disastrously for the DCU.

Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four is slated for theatrical release on February 14, 2025.
