Casual movie fans are probably not aware of it but Dave Bautista, John Cena, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson have one common denominator — professional wrestling. Before they were able to penetrate mainstream media and find a huge deal of success as movie stars, all three men became household names in the world of wrestling, performing under the WWE banner. In fact, Bautista and Cena are even batchmates and have faced off in a wrestling ring on more than one occasion.
Now that all of them are dominating Hollywood, fans have been dying to see a team-up film involving arguably three of wrestling's most prominent stars. That sounds incredibly promising on paper but apparently, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor isn't too keen on working with his former WWE colleagues. Cena recently expressed his desire to work with The Rock on the big screen and when a fan tried to add Bautista to the mix on Twitter, the 52-year-old Marvel star simply said: "Nah I'm good!!!"
Bautista is known by many for his brutal honesty but his statement doesn't put him in a good light especially since people are under the impression that he's good friends with both men given their WWE history. It's unclear why Bautista seems skeptical about reuniting with his fellow WWE superstars but he did state in previous interviews that he wants to "go against the grain" and that he wants to be remembered by fans as an "actor" and not just a larger than life celebrity who took on roles in huge media franchises.
