New reports are coming in and it shakes up the whole fandom of the MCU as the projects are seemingly pushing back to later dates, including the animated anthology series, Marvel's What If..? Season 2, which will reportedly not be releasing this year.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has branched out into making series that are canon to the franchise and even to the point of having its own animated anthology show, Marvel's What If..? which is slated have Season 2 released this year.
However, if new reports are to be believed, What If..? Season 2 reportedly suffers a huge delay in schedule as scooper KC Walsh claims that the second installment of the anthology series would not be coming this year, but rather, on the first quarter of 2024.
What If..? has also been renewed for a third season and given this report, it follows the schedule that Season 3 may be coming out some time in 2025. In the same scoop, other Marvel projects are reportedly suffering major delays, too.
However, neither Marvel Studios nor Disney Plus has spoken up regarding the matter. The fans remain hopeful for the release of the projects of the MCU as announced during their SDCC panel but to date, there is still no certainty about everything.
During the Marvel Studios animation panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that What If..? Season 2 is currently under production and its release window would be in early 2023.
From the comic book series of the same name which recounts the different events in the Marvel lore happening if something else turns out to be out of place, What If..? Season 2 is an anthology series in the MCU created and written by A.C. Bradley and directed by Bryan Andrews.
A whole new set of stories will unfold in Marvel's What If..? Season 2 as the multiverse continues to unravel itself. The series is currently slated for a 2023 schedule.
