Marvel's What If...?: All the Actors Confirmed to Reprise Their Roles in the Series

Besides the live-action Marvel miniseries coming to Disney+, Marvel Studios has also announced an animated anthology series titled What If…? which delves into alternate timelines in the MCU where things go a little differently. The series promises to bring back original actors to reprise their roles in the show, and thanks to Marvel's SDCC 2019 panel, we know who's coming back.

Check it out:

Listed at the top we have Michael B. Jordan (Killmonger), Sebastian Stan (Bucky), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Karen Gillian (Nebula), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), and Michael Douglas (Hank Pym).

At the bottom list are a list of supporting cast members from Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Dugan), Dominic Cooper (Young Howard Stark), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), David Dastmalchian (Kurt from Ant-Man), Stanley Tucci (Dr. Erskine from First Avenger), Taika Waititi (Korg), Toby Jones (Dr. Zola), Djimon Hounsou (Korath the Pursuer), Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster), Michael Rooker (Yondu), and Chris Sullivan (Taserface).

We don't know if this is the full list yet, but at least we have a clue on how deep Marvel is willing to go to bring some characters back. I'm sure we'll get some involvement from other cast members, but if the show isn't able to bring everyone back, I'm sure they can just find someone who can mimic a voice.

It's interesting because this show follows the release of Doctor Stranger in the Multiverse of Madness, which I think will introduce us to the concept of alternate realities in the MCU. I mean, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse already did that, but I have a feeling that Marvel wanted to show us their take on a multiverse concept.

Catch Marvel's What If…? series when it comes to Disney+ in the summer of 2021.
