Marvel’s New Avengers Team Will Be Very, Very Different

The Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be the first Marvel Phase not to have any Avengers movie, but that doesn't mean that fans won't be seeing the Earth's Mightiest Heroes come together in future films of the franchise.

Speaking with different news outlets after Marvel's Hall H Panel at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con International, Marvel President Kevin Feige decided to address the Avengers movie that was missing from the studio's Phase 4 roster. While the Marvel producer explains that Phase 4 is for beginnings, Feige also tells MTV News that fans are still going to see a very different kind of Avengers team banding together in the MCU.

"It will be a very different team than we've seen before, that's what [Avengers: Endgame] was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you've already met and some people you haven't met yet," Feige explained.

It certainly seems like we're going to get an all-new Avengers team – though we're hoping to see some members of the original six here and there. There's a lot of love for the original Avengers, and even though Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Captain America (Chris Evans) are all gone, we still have Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to look out for.

Right now we're not quite sure where we're going to see Hulk again, but Thor is set to appear in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Meanwhile, Clint Barton's getting his own Disney+ mini-series, Hawkeye.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres May 1, 2020.
