Marvel's Hawkeye Lands Fresh Score on Rotten Tomatoes

The latest series to release for Marvel is Hawkeye and, in a few hours, the show debuts with two episodes on the day of its premiere and the critics have great things to say about the first-ever solo outing of Clint Barton as it lands a Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, currently sitting at 84%, and most reviews see how “grounded” the story is.

The Rotten Tomatoes score of Hawkeye is finally out and with 31 reviews as of the time of writing, the show currently sits at 84%, earning it a “Fresh” score. One of the reviews from the critics, Angie Han from the Hollywood Reporter said, “Its low-key vibe is precisely what makes it feel special,” another from Glen Weldon of NPR, “For lovers of the comic, the series nails specific aspects - the ones that count.”

However, there are some reviews that doesn’t adhere with the majority as they gave a “Rotten” score for the series like that of Ben Travers from indieWire said, “"Hawkeye" is clearly more concerned with setting up Kate Bishop for future MCU phases than creating a problem worthy of two heroes' time. And at six hours, it's certainly not worthy of yours.”

Set in the present time in the MCU, Clint Barton is enjoying his time with his children in New York City during the most wonderful time of the year after the blip and it was upended by someone who took over his persona of Ronin who is now being followed by the enemies he made in the darkest time of his life and it turns out to be Kate Bishop, another extremely skilled archer.
