Marvel's Avengers Reveals What MODOK Will Look Like in the Game

Marvel's Avengers has another open beta this weekend but it seems like Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics thought that wasn't intriguing enough since they gave voice actor Usman Ally the go-ahead to reveal the final look of MODOK in the game. Ally showed off the character on social media and fans were quite surprised to see the villain's look pop up this early. Then again, the game is a month away so that's probably why they decided to show it.

As can be seen from below, this is a pretty accurate version of MODOK, albeit one that is uglier than usual. Granted, MODOK was never a good-looking character and it seems like they really were going for a grotesque look for the long-time Marvel villain so this fits. The semi-realistic look of this game does hamper his appearance a bit but that was kind of expected.

It will definitely be interesting to see how the character differs from his comic book counterpart, who is often depicted as a joke until one writer decides to take him seriously. He's a beloved character because of how odd he looks, that's for sure, and though we wish this game were more colorful so his design would look more in-line with the comics, it's a decent enough design.

Fans seem to have a mixed reaction with his look, some saying that he looks great while others feel that the final design shouldn't have been spoiled. Then again, there were those who were upset because they didn't show enough of him in the last trailer so no one can be pleased, I guess.

Marvel's Avengers will be coming out on September 4 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. Those that pick up the PS4 and Xbox One versions will get a free next-gen upgrade for their next console respectively.
