There's no denying that Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the most polarizing the franchise has become and I think we can all agree that one project took the cake as the most divisive show Marvel Studios has produced so far. Of course, we're talking about She-Hulk: Attorney at Law which generated a negative reception online.

One particular scene fans can't seem to get over is the "controversial" ending to Episode 3 which saw Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Walters and guest star Megan Thee Stallion twerk it off. The said sequence raised a lot of eyebrows within the MCU fandom with some even claiming the franchise has reached its lowest point.

Now, months following the release of She-Hulk, Marvel Comics writer Dan Slott is hitting back on the controversy it sparked. Taking to Twitter, Slott addressed the complaints surrounding Megan Thee Stallion's much-talked-about cameo, even going as far as comparing it to a racy sequence from the original Iron Man film which no one seems to complain about.

Slott is referencing the plane scene from the 2008 blockbuster which saw one stewardess perform a striptease for Tony Stark and James Rhodes while aboard Stark's private jet.

He wrote: "People upset over #SheHulk twerking for fun with a celebrity that *she* liked... ...somehow have NO problem with Tony Stark having a stripper pole in his private jet in IRON MAN 1-- with women Tony Stark was paying to dance for *his* pleasure. Spare me this newfound outrage."

She-Hulk was obviously not everyone's cup of tea and I'm pretty sure Marvel Studios quickly realized that. While it's admirable that the studio tried venturing into a different territory for Phase Four, I think the overall reception the show ended up getting is a clear indication that being experimental isn't a foolproof key to success.

All episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are available to stream on Disney+.
