It looks like we won't have to wait too long for the first piece of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 DLC. Nintendo has announced that the first expansion pack, titled Curse of the Vampire, will come out on September 30. While that's still the end of next month, it's still a bit sooner than expected and we can't wait to use these new characters and try out the brand-new Gauntlet Mode.

For those unaware, the first Ultimate Alliance 3 DLC will revolve around the Marvel Knights line. Blade, Moon Knight, Morbius the Living Vampire, and The Punisher are the new characters and they'll have their own chapter for players to take on. It's not yet clear if players will also be using the characters in the base game but the DLC characters will be playable on the main campaign.

Given the title, it seems like Morbius will be playing a big role in this DLC, though he doesn't appear to be the villain. I suppose the main villain could be one of Blade's but we'll have to wait and see. Still, it should be fun seeing how these characters are introduced and what kind of witty introduction we'll see when they pop up.

As someone who likes to religiously play this game, the DLC announcement is great. While waiting is going to suck, at least we'll be getting Cyclops and Colossus for free. Hoping other NPCs like Black Bolt, Valkyrie, and Winter Soldier end up being playable as well.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
