Marvel TV Teases Plans To Produce New Shows For Disney+

There's a lot of excitement building up over Disney's upcoming streaming site, Disney+. Not only is the Mickey Mouse House trying to bring subscribers in by teasing them with two new upcoming Star Wars series, but it's also preparing a slew of Marvel shows featuring characters that have never really gotten their own standalone movies before.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is getting his own show. Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) are getting their own series. So is Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

Now, it looks like another player is joining the circus. Not only is Marvel Studios producing its own set of series for Disney+, but so is Marvel TV.

Speaking in an interview with Deadline, Marvel Television President Jeph Loeb was asked whether or not Marvel Studios' upcoming films and Disney+ series were going to take up too much space from the network.

"Well, first of all, I have to make something very clear, which is those are shows that are created and run and the responsibility of the motion picture studio. Secondly, Marvel Television will be doing shows with Disney+, we just haven't announced what we're going to do there," Loeb responded.

That's pretty big news, and it's kind of frustrating that Loeb won't tell fans what the network has planned or when they'd announce their plans for the streaming site. Could Marvel TV be planning to revive its canceled Netflix series? That might be a bit too soon given the streaming site's contract binding characters like Daredevil and Jessica Jones. It seems more likely that Marvel TV's preparing something brand new for Disney+, we just don't know what.

Let's wait for Marvel TV to finally drop the big news.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Marvel releases Black Widow on May 1, 2020.
