A day removed from She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's jaw-dropping finale and fans are still buzzing about Episode 9's third act. In case you haven't seen it yet (and we're definitely questioning your decision), the episode sees Jennifer Walters perform the biggest fourth wall break the Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen so far and it's still hard to believe that it actually happened.

The episode, titled "Whose Show Is This?" features Tatiana Maslany's titular character altering the entire final act of the finale and shying away from the good old Marvel formula of doing grand action sequences and whatnot. Instead, the episode ended on quite a happy note which is honestly quite refreshing considering all the massive cliffhangers we've been given since Phase Four started.

However, as much as fans enjoyed She-Hulk's finale, some folks weren't exactly thrilled with a particular joke the episode dropped which seems to poke fun at the recent VFX controversy the studio faced. For those who missed it, when Jen encountered the robot named K.E.V.I.N. to discuss how the finale was going, the AI told her to revert back to her human form as VFX work for her is "very expensive".

Jen's transformation was never shown because K.E.V.I.N. said that the show's VFX crew is already working on another MCU project. Fans found the joke quite distasteful, especially after the studio's artists recently complained about being underpaid and overworked.

Since the controversy blew up a few months back, Marvel Studios has left the issue unaddressed which is why it's baffling how the studio decided to use She-Hulk's finale to convey their message. Unfortunately, the joke backfired.

All episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law are now streaming on Disney+.
