There's no denying that Wanda Maximoff is one of the hottest characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right now and I'd even dare say that the Avenger, played by Elizabeth Olsen is the most "protected" in the franchise especially if you'd take into consideration how Kevin Feige speaks highly of her. For years, fans have been dying to see the 33-year-old actress star in a standalone Scarlet Witch project and while WandaVision could technically pass as her solo debut, rumor has it that we're finally going to see Olsen headline her own film series in the MCU.

We reported a couple of weeks ago that Olsen is rumored to star not only in a solo Scarlet Witch film but also in a live-action adaptation of the popular Marvel storyline Avengers: The Children's Crusade.

Now, harles Murphy of Murphy's Multiverse speculates that Marvel Studios is planning something huge for Scarlet Witch in 2024, which happens to be the character's 60th anniversary. He also revealed that production for Olsen's long-awaited solo MCU project is rumored to begin sometime in 2023 with the film getting a potential Fall release the following year.

It's worth noting that Lizzie herself previously rejected the idea of leading her own film series because the pressure doesn't exactly appeal to her. However, the success of WandaVision and the clamor from the fandom to see more of Wanda Maximoff might have changed her mind. As a huge fan of the actress and the character, this definitely sounds good to me.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen is set to make her MCU return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
