Marvel Reportedly Planning to Introduce Gay Spider-Man into the MCU

It might sound like pretty surprising news to Marvel fans, but it looks like there are rumors going around saying that Marvel plans to introduce a gay version of Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While most fans are hoping that Disney and Sony extend their Spider-Man deal so that Tom Holland's version of the wall-crawler stays in the MCU a little bit longer, there's been talk that Miles Morales might finally make his way into the MCU. It's been a while since we've heard the news about it, however, industry insiders long since suggested that Miles Morales might actually take Peter Parker's place as Spider-Man.

While some fans are looking forward to the idea of having Miles in the MCU, We Got This Covered says that Marvel plans to tweak the character's origin by turning him into the very first gay Spider-Man in the franchise. The entertainment news outlet says that Marvel plans to introduce Miles into the MCU by giving the character a cameo in either Spider-Man 3 or 4. The studio is also going to introduce Miles with a love interest in the film, potentially a classmate in New York.

While we'd love to see Spider-Man as a gay character, we wonder whether fans would be open to Marvel tweaking with Miles's origin.

What do you think? Would you be open to seeing Miles Morales as a member of the LGBTQ? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
