Marvel Releases Video Tribute to Late Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman

The world was shocked when earlier this year NBA legend Kobe Bryant had died, and last weekend, kids had lost another hero in the form of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman. While tributes have been going around online for the late actor, Marvel Studios has decided to come up with a tribute video that brings together everyone that Boseman had worked with from the set of Black Panther to T'Challa's debut movie, Captain America: Civil War.

It really was astounding to figure out that Boseman was undergoing Stage III cancer for most of his MCU tenure. Seeing that he was diagnosed back in 2016, that means he had shot Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame in his condition. Not to mention he also did other side projects like Marshall, 21 Bridges, and Da 5 Bloods with Netflix.

While some thought that Boseman had lost all the weight to portray a soldier fighting for his life in the Vietnam jungle, it's clear now that he was suffering from colon cancer as well. We don't really know why Boseman or Marvel would keep quiet about his condition, but it's possible that they thought that Boseman was going to push through. After all, I think fans would be concerned if they found out that Boseman was shooting all of these Marvel movies while undergoing cancer treatment.

For now, everyone is just sad to have lost an icon so suddenly. We don't know what's in store for the BP franchise moving forward, but I think it's alright to give everyone time to mourn first. Hopefully, Marvel finds the best send-off for the King of Wakanda.
