We've long established the fact that Marvel Studios listens to its fandom and the most recent example of it was John Krasinski's surprising casting as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. According to Kevin Feige himself, the reason behind Krasinski's casting has a lot to do with the countless fan campaigns that have been going on for years now.
However, despite the fact that the studio listened to the fans' collective request, Marvel isn't always going to grant the fandom's wishes when it comes to fantasy castings and according to the company's casting director, fan castings, in general, are "irrelevant".
Appearing on This Week in Marvel podcast, Marvel Studios producer and head casting director Sarah Finn discussed fan castings as a whole and how they lead up to expectations that are oftentimes hard to meet.
She explains: "And then the fans, like you were saying, there are fan castings, there are fan expectations, and sometimes, that can be awesome and really fun to look at, but sometimes, people may not know that we’re actually heading in a really different direction here, so it’s not relevant, but we can’t really talk about that, but hopefully you’re gonna enjoy it, so there’s also things that we can’t share in the process."
Finn continued: "So what we’re hoping to do is create for the actors kind of a blank slate where they can come in with their instincts and just do their best work without having all of those external thoughts and pressures on them, and then we figure it out together."

Finn does raise a pretty valid argument and there's a reason why Marvel has a casting crew. Now, her statement pretty much seals the deal that fans shouldn't get their hopes up when it comes to their fantasy castings
