Not everyone in the wrestling business is presented with the golden opportunity of joining major franchises in Hollywood. However, a select few from WWE have successfully crossed over to Tinseltown over the last couple of years. Of course, names like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Dave Bautista, John Cena, and most recently, Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Varnado instantly come to mind.

Now, it looks like Marvel Studios also considered another wrestler with no acting experience to join the billion-dollar franchise and according to a new report, this specific superstar was offered quite a hefty role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Fightful Select reports that former United States Champion Damien Priest (real name Luis Martinez) was approached by producers of the MCU epic to audition for a specific role and a "significant" one at that. According to the scoop, Priest was asked to try out for at least two roles, including an unknown member of the underwater civilization and the King of Talokan, pretty much suggesting that he was up for the Namor role.

It is unclear whether or not Priest tried out for the sequel but given how grueling the WWE schedule is, chances are he missed out on the opportunity.

Meanwhile, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has already generated an impressive $560 million at the global box office, and with still a week before the end of its theatrical run, there's a good chance the MCU blockbuster could still cross 1 billion although the current box office projections believe it will only make between $850 and $890 million.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is still screening in cinemas everywhere.
