Marvel Movie Delays Could Lead to Defenders Introduction in the MCU

The Coronavirus outbreak has already been a huge problem for the entertainment industry considering that major films need to be pushed back as the world deals with the pandemic. However, there might be one good thing that COVID-19 can give to fans. There are speculations that all the delays to the Marvel Cinematic Universe projects could lead to The Defenders finally making their MCU debut.

Back in late 2018, Netflix decided to cancel all of its Marvel shows including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher. Although this was sad news for fans, some also hoped that the Defenders and Frank Castle could finally be featured in the MCU. Unfortunately, there were reports that Marvel is unable to use the characters in any major projects over the next two years due to a contract signed with the streaming giant.

Well, it has almost been two years since those cancellations and with virtually every MCU project being delayed, fans now believe there is a huge chance that Marvel is planning to use the Defenders all over again. There are speculations that Iron Fist could show up in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings while the other characters could appear in the MCU shows on Disney+. However, it is important to point out that these are still based on speculations. With that in mind, it's best to take it with a grain of salt.
