Marvel Might Not Release New MCU Movies For A Full Year After Avengers: Endgame

Everyone is currently looking forward to at least three Marvel Cinematic Universe flicks (Spider-Man: Far From Home counts as one) this year. But what will happen after that? There have been some concerns about what will happen after Avengers: Endgame, which could be the last MCU film for almost more than a year.

It all started with an interesting tweet from Rob Liefeld. The Deadpool creator pointed out that there aren't any MCU films being released after Far From Home. Take a look at his post below.

"Still wrapping my head around the fact that there are no Marvel movies currently filming. So a full year absent Marvel films following Spider-Man?" Liefeld wrote.

It's a keen observation considering that there aren't any MCU movies in production right now. In addition to that, the new Marvel Studios film with a release date is still untitled and scheduled for May 1, 2020.

So does this mean we will have to spend a full year waiting for the next Marvel film after Endgame? There are speculations that the studio is simply waiting until the film is released before making new announcements. Fans are hoping that there will be a new slew of MCU movies as soon as the fate of the survivors (and victims) from Avengers: Infinity War is revealed.

The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:

"Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe."

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26.
