As we're heading to the highly-anticipated release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel and Proximity Media have announced that they are releasing an official six-episode podcast about the making of the film titled Wakanda Forever: The Official Black Panther Podcast.

Hosted by award-winning journalist and writer Ta-Nehisi Coates (who also wrote for the Black Panther comics), the podcast will explore the next chapter in the story of Wakanda and honors the remarkable legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman. It will be available on major platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The first episode will debut on November 3 and features a conversation between Coates and director and co-writer Ryan Coogler as they reflect on the cultural impact of Black Panther, the legacy of Boseman, and his inspiration to the cast and crew.

However, subsequent episodes will be available weekly in January 2023 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the first film. Other guests will include Kevin Feige, Angela Bassett, Dominique Thorne, composer Ludwig Göransson, production designer Hannah Beachler, cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, co-writer Joe Robert Cole, producer Nate Moore, and more.

In addition, each episode will weave host narration, Göransson’s original score, film clips, and field recordings in tandem with the guests' conversations.

"There is no storyteller I admire more than Ryan Coogler," Coates said. "Any chance to partner with him, Proximity Media and Marvel, is a worthy one. For that opportunity to be a chronicle of the making of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was simply too good to pass up."

This is certainly an interesting companion piece for the upcoming film as fans will have an opportunity to get a deep dive into the MCU's return to Wakanda and find out the process that the cast and crew underwent through during the making of the film.
