Venom might be part of Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters but ever since Sony has been able to smoothen out their Spider-Man deal with Disney, Marvel fans have been hoping to see Tom Hardy's version of the Symbiote make his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While Marvel hasn't explicitly announced Venom's introduction into the MCU, Venom #20 seems to offer the best way to bring the anti-hero into the franchise. In the comic (via Comic Book Review), readers get to see the Maker delivering a status report to the Council of Reeds, his benefactors.
According to the Maker, his experiments in opening a dimensional rift to his original reality, the Ultimate Universe, has brought on a surprising result ā the healthy and unscathed synthetic version of the Venimo Symbiote managed to come through the rift. This was a pleasant surprise to the Maker because traveling through rifts usually take a dangers toll on the mind and body of human travelers.
In his report to the Council of Reeds, the Maker concludes that the Venom Symbiote could be used to allow wear to travel safely between universes.
According to Comic Book Reader, this could be the best way to bring Venom into the MCU. Marvel has already been playing with time travel. They've also discussed other dimensions. What if another dimension was opened, say, by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and that's how Venom comes through into the MCU? Wouldn't that be a convenient explanation?
What do you think? What ways can Marvel bring Venom into the MCU? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
