After the success of Marvel Future Fight, it would only make sense to have NetMarble work on another similar mobile game, albeit one that's more epic in scope. It looks like we now have that big mobile game as NetMarble and Marvel Games have announced Marvel Future Revolution. This could be one of the most ambitious games the mobile company has worked on since it has been described as an open-world RPG for iOS and Android, which is pretty crazy.
Before I become that guy and wonder why this game wasn't announced for consoles, this does look like a pretty slick mobile title. You don't see a lot of open-world games on mobile since most people prefer to play simpler games on their phones. Still, this could change their minds and there are certain gamers who like to play their mobile devices with Bluetooth controllers.
Right now, the only confirmed heroes for the game are Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Captain America. However, the trailer above does show a number of their alternate selves from the multiverse helping out, including Spider-Punk and a steampunk version of Captain Marvel's old Warbird/Ms. Marvel persona.
We're expecting more heroes but it is neat of them to use the multiverse like this. Small details like this are always appreciated.
No release date for Marvel Future Revolution has been announced, though fans should follow their Twitter or Facebook if they want to learn more. The game will be coming to iOS and Android.
