Marvel Fans Fix Major Black Widow Problem in Avengers: Endgame

Though it's taken Marvel quite a while to allow Black Widow here own standalone movie, the studio has begun taking steps to focus on diversity and representation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe the past few years with the release of films like Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Captain Marvel.

However, as eager as fans might be to see Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) return after the fatal sacrifice that the original Avenger made in Avengers: Endgame, fans still have a few regrets – one of which is the fact that Black Widow never got to join the rest of Marvel's female heroes in its A-Force moment in the film.

During the final battle between Thanos' army and the Avengers, Marvel's female heroes gathered together for a team-up sequence, one that's gotten a lot of applause from fans and from critics. While the A-Force moment was definitely something to reckon with, fans couldn't help that something was remiss with the scene – Black Widow wasn't part of the team-up.

Natasha sacrificed her life early on in the movie, meaning that she couldn't be part of the final battle in Avengers: Endgame.

Now, it seems like a Marvel fan's decided to fix that, adding in Black Widow into the shot. Jonathan Gray (@rvmanvgers) edited Natasha into the scene using a picture of the Avenger from her upcoming standalone movie. It's a pretty great edit, and Marvel fans seem to agree because the photo's gotten over 5 thousand likes on Instagram.

It's such a shame that Black Widow won't ever get to be part of a potential MCU A-Force now that she's gone.

Black Widow is set to premiere on November 6, 2020.
