Not a lot of actors can say that they've played more than one Marvel character and Chris Evans is among the elite circle of stars who have been given the privilege of starring in the Marvel film franchise as two completely different characters. Evans started his Marvel career in 2005 as the Human Torch, a role that to be fair launched his career to the stratosphere.

However, the mixed reception the early 2000s Fantastic Four films got didn't help Chris get recognized as an iconic superhero. Thankfully, he found the role that best suits him in Captain America and since joining the MCU in 2011, the actor never looked back.

Now, there have been rumblings surrounding Evans' potential return to the franchise and while many fans believe he'll reprise his Steve Rogers role in the near future, the Russo Brothers think he should ditch his Avenger colors and join the X-Men as Wolverine.

Unfortunately, the Russos' endorsement didn't click with the fandom and a lot of folks hate the idea of Evans as Logan. Check out some of the reactions below:

Despite the multiverse offering us infinite possibilities, I'm also not in favor of Evans ditching the vibranium shield for adamantium claws. He has pretty much owned the Captain America role and it's hard to imagine seeing him portray a different character other than the Star-Spangled Avenger.

Meanwhile, Captain America 4 is currently in development.
