Many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were left bewildered after seeing the first official trailer for Eternals last year, thinking they saw quite a familiar face in the Celestials lineup. Turns out, they confused Ikaris actor Richard Madden with Sebastian Stan who plays Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier in the billion-dollar franchise. The comparisons only grew bigger when the Chloé Zhao film finally came out and until now, some people are still having a hard time telling which actor is which for some reason.
Now, audiences get to revisit Eternals via Disney+ and as expected, the Bucky and Ikaris comparisons only grew bigger. Taking to Twitter, fans have been discussing the uncanny resemblance between the two actors and some even say that it's hard to tell Stan and Madden apart. Check out some of the reactions below:

Well, we all know the tragic fate Ikaris suffered in Eternals so I guess he's out of the picture for now. But should he make a comeback, I think it's already safe to say that Marvel Studios will be forced to do some major adjustments to his overall appearance so he won't closely resemble Bucky and the comparisons will go away completely. Or maybe it's Barnes who will get a change of look in the MCU? Who knows.
But could you imagine if the MCU actually acknowledged the running joke between the two characters? That would be hilarious.
