Yesterday, we got our first look at Marvel's Echo, the upcoming series that will focus on Maya Lopez's solo adventure after the events of Hawkeye. As expected, the exact plot details are under wraps as of the moment. However, new information about the series has emerged which reveals the return of another Hawkeye cast member.
According to Marvel.com, Zahn McClarnon, who appeared as William Lopez in the third episode of Hawkeye, will appear in Echo. He is part of the ensemble cast alongside co-stars such as Alaqua Cox, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene. However, they didn't provide information regarding how many episodes will he appear in.
Given the character's pivotal role in Maya Lopez's life, it's not surprising to hear that McClarnon will show up in Echo as well. Given that William Lopez already died prior to the present-day events of the MCU, we can safely assume at this point that he will also appear in flashback scenes just like in Hawkeye, and perhaps he will have more scenes this time around.
While we are expected to see him in a few scenes throughout the upcoming series, it's still exciting to know that McClarnon will show up since he is a great actor as he has proven in his previous roles on Doctor Sleep, Reservation Dogs, Westworld, Fargo, and more.
The series will focus on "Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward."
Sydney Freeland and Catriona McKenzie are directing the series. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Stephen Broussard, Richie Palmer, Marion Dayre, and Jason Gavin are executive producing.

Echo is scheduled to be released on Disney+ in 2023.
