The world of Heroes Reborn is a world where there are no Avengers. This timeline is artificially created. Superpowered saviors have their own form of the Squadron Supreme. The Squadron Supreme is Marvel's own version of Justice League. In Heroes Reborn, they are able to easily handle some of Marvel's classic supervillain in their twisted version

Blade may be the only hero who remembers how the Marvel Universe used to be. He sees how the Squadron Supreme was able to deal with the vampires permanently. Individual heroes in the Squadron are also able to take on certain threats that the Avengers have a hard time dealing with in the Marvel Universe.
The Squadron Supreme was Marvel's version of DC's most popular super team, Justice League. The Squadron have been pillars of justice, but are dictators and counters to the Avengers. As CBR noted, if the Squadron fights against the Avengers, only a few are capable of stopping Hyperion and the other members of the Squadron Supreme.

The Avengers mostly deal with some real human problems to a certain extent but some of the DC Universe stories have some magical yet quite unrealistic places such as Atlantis and Themyscira. Marvel is using the same unreality with their Squadron Supreme with their chasms and various other facets in their story.
