While the MCU is busy building a new team of Avengers to replace the originals, Marvel's Thor star Chris Hemsworth finally unveiled his secret talent alongside Emmy-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran in his recent Mathematics Tour.
Marvel's Thor Couldn't Have Surprised Fans More with Hidden Talent
The God of Thunder wasn't much interested in the theatrics, as seen in Thor: Ragnarok, however, his actor Chris Hemsworth, is quite attached to performing.
Apart from his ever-growing acting career in Hollywood, Extraction, Extraction 2, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Transformers: One, MCU fans did not see this ONE hidden talent coming.
While recording for the 41-year-old actor's Limitless With Chris Hemsworth season 2, where he "pushes himself to new limits" while battling Alzheimer's, he happened to be exactly where Ed Sheeran's latest concert was held: Romania's National Arena.
Hemsworth shocked fans when he graced Sheeran's stage playing the drums in the background. According to Sheeran, he "got Chris Hemsworth to learn drums for his stadium show", seeing as he is currently on his +–=÷× Tour aka The Mathematics Tour.
The singer added that Hemsworth had personally reached out to Sheeran last December to explain the cognitive health and benefits of learning how to play an instrument, given Hemsworth's diagnosis.
"And he came to visit me, and he has learned drums and he's coming on stage in front of 70,000 [people]," as Sheeran wrote in his post, "Find out why on his show, Limitless with Chris Hemsworth season 2."
The Australian actor essentially showed off his skills during Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud segment as the two had the time of their life on stage.
It is worth mentioning that Chris Hemsworth has not been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but his genetic makeup does imply he's at a higher risk of developing the disease sooner or later.
"I decided to take some time off because I was exhausted, and I wanted to be home with my family," Hemsworth previously explained, "It was interesting, because those two headlines got coupled together, that I was taking time off because of the genetic predisposition to Alzheimer's."
Still, getting the chance to perform the drums alongside a great singer like Sheeran likely boosted morale and advocated what his show, Limitless, is for: encouragement.
