What's up with the 'beef' between Martha Stewart and Ryan Reynolds? As soon as the domestic diva's words against the actor made headlines just recently, the Deadpool star was quick with his rebuttal. Here's what happened.
How the Martha Stewart and Ryan Reynolds 'Beef' Started
After recently appearing as a special guest for Bilt Rewards' November Rent Free game show, Martha Stewart's words left fans in awe especially when the words contained Ryan Reynolds and 'not so funny' in the same sentence.
Reynolds, best known as one of Hollywood's best comedic reliefs, is shockingly not on top of Stewarts' list of 'most fun to hang out with', in contrast to the fans who believe he is.
"He's not so funny in real life. No, he's not so funny. He's very serious," Martha said, adding that while Reynolds is a good actor, funny is not the best word to describe him, "He's a good actor. He can act funny, but he isn't funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again."
Martha insists that if she were to list down 'most fun to hang out with', Snoop Dogg, Brad Pitt, Taylor Swift, and George Clooney would be her top picks instead of her neighbor.
"I'm going to get in trouble," Martha said, "He's my neighbor." And wouldn't you know it? Ryan Reynolds himself has spoken up.
Ryan Reynolds Thinks Otherwise and Claps Back Against Stewart
Replying to the viral tweet that posted Martha Stewarts' words, the Red Notice star wrote: "I'd disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so."
It is difficult to tell whether Reynolds is offended or riding along with the joke himself, much to fans' confusion, too. However, it doesn't help that his response is essentially proving Martha right about her sentiment.
The so-called online 'beef' is technically not over. Yet. Not when Deadpool and Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman came to Reynolds' defense himself, too.
Then again, fans remain confused whether Jackman was agreeing with Reynolds or Stewarts. Who can tell?
