Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man and Black Widow, unfortunately, met their tragic fate while Captain America went back in time to live his life with Peggy Carter. The three heroes are basically out of the picture and three of the original Avengers left are Thor, Hawkeye, and Hulk. One of these heroes is set to return in a sequel and the other in a series, and fans know very well that Mark Ruffalo's character is in neither of those.
So, what's left for Hulk to do now? Fans are yet to find out if he'll ever make his return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it looks like Ruffalo doesn't as well. "I don't know," he said in a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show. "Who knows, really."
The actor says it's "supposed to be over" and that Endgame was supposed to be "the end." Since the studio will be focused on characters such as Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and several others, there's no telling on what they plan to do with the character.
There are a lot of possibilities for Ruffalo's Hulk to return though. One being the She-Hulk series in the works at Disney+, as well a potential cameo or even a story focused on the character with two more unannounced series.
