Mark Hamill Slams Ivanka Trump For Star Wars Reference Tweet

It looks like a feud between Ivanka Trump and Mark Hamill ensued when the actor responded with a sick burn to her Star Wars-related family photo.

Mark Hamill plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, the actor has a massive following on Twitter and has much influence on his fans and followers. When President Donald Trump's eldest daughter Ivanka uploaded a photo with her husband and kids, being one of them dressed as a Stormtrooper, Hamill's attention was set on Ivanka's caption.

"The Force is strong in my family," says Ivanka Trump adding a star emoji. Hamill quickly deflected Ivanka's Star Wars reference caption with a correction saying, "you misspelled ‘Fraud'." You can check out the tweet below:

This response wouldn't be a surprise for long-time fans of the Star Wars actor since this isn't the first time Hamill meddled with the President's family. He has been expressing his thoughts on the Trump administration for years, so a sassy response like this isn't unlikely to come from the actor.

Of course, Hamill's tweet got a lot of mixed opinions. Other people have been defending the actor since some people might assume that the tweet was directed to the 3-year-old, but instead, it was actually Hamill's open criticism of Ivanka and the Trumps.

Some fans even questioned Ivanka's tweet, speculating that there's some underlying meaning to her photo and caption. The Daily Beast says that some fans theorized on Ivanka recognizing the Stormtroopers' role as the bad guys and that she familiarized with the "whole dark side thing." TDB adds that fans would question a 3-year-old who wouldn't really demand to be in a character from a 1978 sci-fi movie. And that it's likely that the decision to dress him up as a Stormtrooper was by the parents.

Who knows? It might have just been a cute memory for Ivanka to cherish and that she genuinely loved the Star Wars franchise that's why she posted the photo. Regardless, some fans may read into this a lot since it may be a notion to a ploy of something a bit deeper than what it seems to be.

Well, on the other hand, fans are free to look further with their hearts' content into the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which premieres on December 20, 2019.
