It took him 43 years to accomplish the task but Luke Skywalker finally did it — well, sort of. If you've been following the Star Wars saga for quite a few years now, I'm pretty sure you're all aware of the iconic running gag involving the Jedi master and his power converters.

In Episode IV - A New Hope, when his uncle Owen acquires the droid duo of C-3PO and R2-D2 to work with him around their moisture farm, the young Skywalker was asked by him to clean them before dinner time. Luke wasn't exactly fond of doing the chore and famously responded: "But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters." Owen later replied: "You can waste time with your friends after your chores are done."

The iconic banter between the two has been the subject of numerous Star Wars-related memes and running gags throughout the years. Now, we really didn't know whether Luke got his power converters or not but it's safe to assume that with how chaotic the film would later turn out to be, Luke wasn't able to get his Tosche fix.

Mark Hamill took to Twitter to announce to the world that he finally fulfilled his "mission" four grueling decades later. In a hilarious Twitter post, Hamill shared a photoshopped image of himself carrying the now-legendary power converter which he got from, where else, but the Tosche (gas) station. "I can finally cross this off my "to-do" list," he wrote.

Speaking of the Jedi Master, the character gained renewed interest from fans following his short but epic appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2's grand finale. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of Luke as he's currently in possession of Grogu aka Baby Yoda. A potential return in Season 3 is highly likely but it'll be interesting to see if Lucasfilm will continue to rely on CGI magic or actually cast an actor much more suited for the role. I know you know where I'm going with this. Cast Sebastian Stan already!

All episodes of The Mandalorian are available for streaming via Disney+.
