Who could forget one of the classic side characters in the original 2004 Mean Girls? Meet Mahi Alam who plays Kevin G in the new Mean Girls musical this 2024. But before getting into that, where have you seen Mahi before?
Who is Mahi Alam? Where Have You Seen Him Before?
Mahi Alam, 21, was born in Tangail Bangladesh, and came to America when he was just six years old with his family to pursue the arts.
As of present, Mahi's first TV role was playing as Samir on the 2018 show Strangers. He would later star in more prominent shows afterward.
This includes the Disney Plus show American Born Chinese, where he played the role of Anuj across six episodes.
Anuj was able to help the main characters, Jin and Wei-Chen, through his character's vast knowledge of pop culture and open-mindedness when it came to accepting their supernatural situation to save the world.
Mahi also previously had a small role in the Netflix series, New Amsterdam, in 2021, where he played Yakub, and now, he's off to the movies as he takes the stage playing Kevin G.

Meet the New Kevin G in the Mean Girls Musical
Everyone knows how iconic Kevin Gnapoor is in the 2004 film. He may be a part of North Shore High School's Mathlete team, but he also knows how to break it down at the school talent show with his slick rapping style.
Considering that the 2024 reimagined version of Tina Fey's Mean Girls is a musical, we can expect to hear more of Kevin G's bars on the big screen starting today.
Meanwhile, the original Kevin G actor Ravij Surendra showed his support for the new actor and the flick's comeback wearing the Mathletes letterman jacket (via People): "So honored to be a part of the new Mean Girls movie premiere tonight! Congrats to the new cast, y'all did a fantastic job!"
