Kelly started his career in 2006 and released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010. From there, he signed with Bad Boy Records.

He then released his debut studio album, Lace Up, in 2012, featuring her breakout song "Wild Boy" ft. Waka Flocka Fame.

It was followed by his second and third albums, Bad Things and Bloom, in 2015 and 2017. Both albums experienced commercial success.

Movie-wise, Kelly had his first taste of acting in the film Beyond the Lights, followed by Nerve and Bird Box. He was also seen in Big Time Adolescence and the biopic The Dirt.

For his works in the music and movie scenes, he has successfully amassed a net worth of $25 million.

Machine Gun Kelly Honors Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington

Kelly honored Linkin Park's late frontman Chester Bennington at his show in London's Wembley Arena on Saturday, October 1.

Back in 2017, he was supposed to serve as the band's opening act in Poland and join them on their tour in North America, but Bennington met his untimely demise three days before it started.

"The last time I saw him was here in Europe, so I encourage you, because life is short, to go live this life," Kelly told the audience. "I know it's hard, man. I know this shit is fucking hard. But nights like tonight make life worth it."

He then performed "Glass House," whose lyrics addressed a number of artists who had passed away, including Bennington.
